Confluence means, the way in which two or more things come together to become one single thing. It symbolises the welcome and assimilation of freshman students to the DPS family. The Department of Professional Studies conducts an induction program for the newly joined students and makes them comfortable and acquainted with the culture of the department. This is exclusively conducted by the second years for the first years. The event includes formal orientation along with informal orientation, ice breakers, games and gives space for the juniors to bring out their talent and feel comfortable. The seniors also encourage the juniors to interact with the class and to socialize. The formal orientation facilitates the students to learn about their scholastic program, enlist themselves into add-on course and familiarise themselves with the rules and culture of the department and the university.
